There Is Hope

May 10, 2021 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

“Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.’” —Ezekiel 37:11

Do you ever feel like the people in the verse above when you look at the world around you? Maybe even as you look at what’s going on among those who claim to be people of God?

There is no hope. These dry bones will never live again. But God. With His breath, His Spirit, there is hope for death to give way to glorious life.

When you first became a Christian, the breath of God came into you. You had been dead, but you became alive. Yet there are times in life when even followers of Jesus begin to once again walk not by the Spirit but by the flesh. We start to look and act a lot like very dead, dry bones.

What do we need to bring us back to life? The power of the breath of God. He is the One who gives us His Spirit and can bring the dead back to life.
