The Feast of God's Promises

When they came to Eshcol Valley, they cut down a branch with a single cluster of grapes, which was carried on a pole by two men. —Numbers 13:23

As Christians, we see the abundance Jesus promised us. He wants us to be filled with the Spirit. Think about that huge cluster of grapes the spies brought back—that’s what the fruit of the Spirit is like!

It’s supernatural. It’s amazing. It’s awesome. It’s different than anything you find in the natural realm. And Jesus has promised us that fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

However, as we look at the lavish feast of God’s promises, we tend to focus on the obstacles. Instead of seeing the abundance, we see the enemies. So, we’re content to stay where we are and don’t move forward.

So many Christians get stuck on the border of the Promised Land and never go in because they’re focused on the giants. What will keep you faithful when you’re facing the giants in your life? It’s the Word of God. It’s the promises of God. It’s the power of God.
