Control Your Own Body

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Do you know what kinds of situations are likely to lead you into sin?

Man: Everything can be going fine. I can be on my best behavior. And then something pops up on TV, or my wife and I watch a movie that just triggers these thoughts in my head, and before I know it, I’m off watching things behind her back that I know would really hurt her if she knew about them.

Nancy: The apostle Paul wrote these words to the church in Thessalonica: “This is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness.”

Do you know what kinds of things entice you? Maybe it’s a song you used to listen to or a billboard that jumps out at you. It may be a person that you just shouldn’t spend much time with. Spend a few minutes thinking about what situations tempt you, and then ask God for grace to avoid those situations.

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
