Chief Cornerstone

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: I’m no construction expert, but I get that a building is no good without a solid foundation.

Leslie Basham: With thoughts from her book The Wonder of His Name, here’s Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.

Nancy: Builders will tell you that the most important stone in the foundation is the cornerstone. It sets the course for the whole project.

In the Bible, one of the names of Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone. The messianic Psalm 118 prophesied of Jesus, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” The apostle Peter calls Jesus “a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious.” Is Jesus the Cornerstone precious to you?

Is He your solid Rock, your Foundation, the framework that sets the course for your life? Or are you building your life on something that’s doomed to crumble?

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
