Seeking Him Podcast

Candid Talk

Nancy Leigh DeMoss: In the last few years, we’ve heard about a number of highly publicized scandals. One disturbing result is that talk of private matters has been splashed throughout the news media. Language once considered inappropriate outside the bedroom has now become part of everyday vocabulary.

In Proverbs 7 we read the story of a foolish woman who is trying to ensnare a young man. She begins talking about something that should be private—her bedroom.

“I have spread my bed with tapestry, colored coverings of Egyptian linen.”

Nancy: There are certain topics that should stay in the bedroom between a husband and wife.

“I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.”

Nancy: Do you ever find yourself talking with friends about things that should stay between you and your husband? Ask God to give you discretion as you talk with others.

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy Leigh DeMoss.
