A Stressed-Out World

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: I seriously doubt anyone would characterize the world today as “peaceful.” On the contrary, our world is full of people who are stressed, fearful, anxious, and depressed.

True peace can never be found in a bottle, a pill, a person, a movie, or a hobby.

But God tells us relief from stress and fear is possible. In Isaiah chapter nine we learn that Jesus is the “Prince of Peace.” He is God’s gift to a world that is in so much turmoil.

If our focus is only on our trials or to-do lists, we’ll never find lasting peace. No, that kind of peace can only be found in our sovereign Prince of peace.

This Christmas, I wonder: are you in the midst of distress or anxiety? Are you just plain tired of being tired? Call out to Jesus for His peace.

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
