Questions Answered in This Episode

Why does the Bible call singleness a gift?

In 1 Corinthians 7, the apostle Paul describes both marriage and singleness as gifts from God. Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth explains that singleness is not a season of waiting for life to begin but a God-given assignment and calling for the present. Receiving singleness as God’s gift allows believers to live with contentment, purpose, and joy in every season.

How can Christians find contentment while they are single?

Contentment begins by trusting that God gives good gifts and faithfully assigns each season of life. Rather than viewing singleness as something to endure until marriage, Christians can embrace it as an opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ, serve others, and live faithfully where God has placed them today.

Does viewing singleness as a gift mean it is always easy?

No. The episode acknowledges that singleness can include seasons of loneliness, waiting, and unmet desires. Yet even in difficult moments, God uses those experiences to draw believers closer to Himself, strengthen their faith, and remind them that every stage of life can be lived for His glory.
