Get Here

Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk . . . making the most of the time. —Ephesians 5:15–16

With the possibility of another incoming message being only moments away at any point of the day, it’s become almost impossible to just sit down and enjoy life.

But that’s where the challenge comes in to experience each moment and season to its absolute fullest. To be “all there” wherever you are.

Whatever it’s time for you to be doing right now, do it with all your heart and for His glory. If it’s time to work, then get busy and put in a full day’s labor. If it’s time to take a break, then live this moment in prayerful gratitude to God or in attentive interaction with the people around you. If it’s time to rejoice, let yourself go in celebrating the Lord’s goodness. And if it’s time to weep, then weep hard.

Don’t fixate on past failures or memories, and don’t relocate into future dreams and anxieties that are currently in reserve for another time. You’re here right now. Live like it—it is “the gift of God” (Eccl. 3:13).
