Read through the Bible, Day 312

Good morning. Behold the empty tomb! John’s gospel concludes by showing us a range of reactions to the resurrection of Christ—from Mary’s faith to Thomas’ doubt.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

John 20–21

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Hear Jesus ask you personally today, “Do you love Me?” How does your love for Him prompt fresh obedience and worship?
Christ, the promised Prophet, anointed and sent by God, has shown us the will and mind and purposes of God. We have it in the Scriptures, and it has been revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. Our job now is to listen to Him, to believe and obey His Word, and to proclaim it to others.

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
