Good morning. These chapters are filled with the glory of Christ. Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James, and John, giving them a glimpse of His majesty. Later, He teaches the parable of the lost sheep—reminding us that the greatness of God is revealed not only in His splendor but also in His tender pursuit of the one who has wandered.
Before you begin

Review
Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.
Reflect
At the transfiguration, God commands the disciples to “listen to him.” In which areas of your life do you most need to quiet competing voices and intentionally listen to and obey Jesus?
O Lord, amid all the voices clamoring to be heard, may I listen to Jesus. When I don’t know what to say or do, may I listen to Him. When I’m confused and don’t know what to believe, may I listen to Him. When Your ways are contrary to my natural thinking, may I listen to Him. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1
