Read through the Bible, Day 229

Today we’ll read Jeremiah 45–48, where we see the Lord’s perfect justice and mercy in action: He pronounces judgment on the nations while reassuring His people that He will not abandon them.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Jeremiah 45–48

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

In Jeremiah 46, the Lord reassured His people that He would uphold His promises, even though they had repeatedly turned away from Him. At the same time, He warned that they would face discipline for their actions. When have you experienced God’s loving discipline in your life, and how did it deepen your understanding of His character and His promises?

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
