Today’s psalms remind us that the whole earth belongs to the Lord—and that one day, every nation will worship Him rightly.
Before you begin
Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.
Read
Review
Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.
Reflect
Both storms and stars reflect God’s power. What storm has he brought you through recently? And what beauty has He placed in your life that you can thank Him for today?
See what happens when you open your heart afresh to the Lord, moving beyond the normal, the canned, the almost obligatory phrases of praise and worship, where you truly begin to “magnify him with thanksgiving”? See if expressing gratitude to the Lord doesn’t “magnify” Him in your eyes. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1
Respond
Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
