The Power of the Word

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth:  Well, today voice recognition technology is everywhere. Whether we're asking our phone to direct us to the nearest coffee shop or we're making hands-free online orders, simply speaking to a device and getting results is no longer the stuff of science fiction.

Woman: Climate control—70.

Nancy: But it’s nothing compared to the amazing power of God’s Word. He spoke and created out of nothing!

The apostle Peter reminds us that “by God’s word the heavens existed . . . and the earth was formed” (2 Pet. 3:5).

It’s the same Word planted by the Spirit of God in our hearts that causes us to be born again. In 1 Peter 1:23 we read, “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.”

God’s Word is so amazing! Where would we be without it? When’s the last time you thanked and worshiped God for His Word?
