Sun and Moon

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Have you ever considered how Jesus mirrors God to us? God dwells in unapproachable light. It’s impossible for us to draw near to God the Father apart from his Son, Jesus.

The apostle John wrote, “The Word [that is Jesus] became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father” (John 1:14).

Similar to the way the moon reflects the light of the sun, Jesus mirrors God’s essence to us. We celebrate it every Christmas: He took on human flesh so God could be more fully revealed to us. Jesus is the expression of the Father’s thoughts, heart, and will. He makes the radiant, unknown God knowable.

Aren’t you grateful for the access God grants us through His Son?

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
