Right With Others

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Is your conscience clear with everyone you know?

Man 1: “I can’t believe I used to cheat on my taxes.”

Man 2: “I am pretty disrespectful to my boss.”

Man 1: “Should I tell somebody?”

Nancy: The first step in having a clear conscience with other people is to identify those we’ve wronged. Here are some questions to help jumpstart your thinking. Is your conscience clear with your family?

Man 2: “Truth is, I haven’t been a very good provider.”

Woman: “Honor your father and mother? Yeah, right.”

Nancy: How about with your church?

Man 1: “You know, I was talking about that pastor behind his back.”

Nancy: Do you have a clear conscience at work?

Man 2: “Wasting time is really stealing from the company.”

Nancy: Do you have a clear conscience from your past?

Woman: “I don’t want anybody to find out what really happened.”

Nancy: If your conscience isn’t clear with others, there’s hope and forgiveness. Once you’ve identified the people you’ve wronged, the next step is to ask for their forgiveness. God will help you make things right with others.
