Knowing the Purpose

Woman: I guess modesty is important, but being popular is important, too. I mean, it's okay to be a little immodest to fit in.

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Questions like that require that we go back to the basics. Why do we live? Why do we exist? What’s our purpose in life?

Years ago, God gave me a desire and commitment to glorify Him, to please Him, and to reflect what He is like to a watching world. Knowing my purpose helps me make those tough choices I know are right, even when it means I have to go against the grain.

Modesty doesn’t start with a list of rules but with a heart that’s devoted to God and His glory. Styles change as quickly as the direction of the wind. But if your commitment is to God’s glory, you’ll be on solid footing. Have you made the decision to live your life for His Kingdom?
