Nancy: The Dictionary defines that word as: “to fill with sudden and overpowering surprise or wonder; to amaze.”

Well, it’s astonishing to me that our Mighty God humbled Himself and became a helpless baby. It’s amazing that during His time on earth He stilled storms, forgave sins, and healed diseases with a mere word or touch. He cast out demons and turned water into wine. He fed thousands with a boy’s lunch. He raised the dead.

How much more astonishing is it that this mighty God—the Lord Jesus—also bears our daily burdens?

Nothing is too difficult for Him, and there is no one that He cannot save. Now that's astonishing!
