Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Throughout the Bible, God’s presence is associated with light, and sin is associated with darkness. And ever since sin came into the world, humankind has lived surrounded by great darkness. We stumble around, unable to see truth and beauty.
In the Old Testament, a great light was promised, a light that would push back and extinguish the darkness.
Christmas is the time of year we remember that Jesus came to reveal the light of God. The apostle John says, “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.” And those who believe and follow Christ will never walk in darkness again.
What about you? Are you walking in the darkness? Or in the light of Christ? Turn to the light, then let Him shine His light through you.
