Actions That Build

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: The book of Proverbs tells us we can be a builder or a demolition expert.

Woman: Every wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down (Prov. 14:1).

Nancy: Do you build up by being quick to serve with a willing heart?

Woman: Do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another (Gal. 5:13).

Nancy: Or do you tear down by being reluctant to serve? Do you build your home by taking care of your family’s needs?

Woman: She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness (Prov. 31:27).

Nancy: Or do you neglect those needs by lack of planning, discipline, or desire?

Woman: Be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is good and acceptable and perfect (Rom. 12:2).

Nancy: Do you renew your mind with the Scripture, or are you more familiar with the voices of this world? Knowing God’s Word and doing it will help you change from a demolition expert to a master builder.
