Valerie Elliot Shepard thought that many of the love letters between her mother and father, Elisabeth and Jim Elliot, had been lost. But after Elisabeth passed away, Valerie dug through an old trunk in the attic and discovered a treasure trove of correspondence nobody had read for decades. Those letters formed the basis of the book Devotedly. Valerie explains the special love of Jim and Elisabeth Elliot—love for each other and love for their Lord.
