Elyse Fitzpatrick: What we want to do now is talk a little bit about how we counsel from the Bible. In the last session we were talking about why we counsel from the Bible, and then in this session we want to talk about how to do it.

Now, let me just say this. It probably doesn't need saying, but I'm going to say it anyway. There's no way in the world I can tell you how to counsel from the Bible in fifty-nine minutes and six seconds. I hope to point you in the right direction. That's what I would like to do.

But the practice of biblical counseling is something you will grow in. If you want to get trained in biblical counseling, there are a number of things you can do depending, of course, on your station in life, your season in life. There are a number …

Elyse Fitzpatrick has a Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling and is the author of sixteen books, as well as being a frequent retreat and conference speaker. She and her husband, Phil, make their home in Southern California and have three children and six grandchildren.
