Daily Reflections

Transformed by His Presence

January 3, 2024 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory. —2 Corinthians 3:18

Have you noticed that when we spend time with people, we become more like them? Since we start to become like the people we spend time with, we’d better choose those people carefully. We can’t spend time with anyone more important than God Himself.

Moses spent concentrated time in the presence of God. When he came down from Mount Sinai, the Bible says, “He did not realize that the skin of his face shone as a result of his speaking with the LORD” (Ex. 34:29).

The glory of God was being reflected on Moses’ face. The same thing can happen when we spend time in prayer and in the Word of God. Our face may not literally glow, but we can reflect His glory in our actions, our words, and even our appearance.

The people around you desperately need to see what God is like. Are you showing them?

Make it Personal

Ask the Lord to help you become more like Him so that your life may reflect His glory to the people around you.
