Enthroned Forever

December 12, 2021 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

His eyes were like a fiery flame, and many crowns were on his head. —Revelation 19:12 CSB

What do you ground your heart in when life gets hard? Where do you turn for comfort and help? Whatever you’ve gone to in the past is where you’ll go in the future.

The truth is that “Heaven rules.” And this truth will bring you confidence, comfort, and calm because your health doesn’t command your future. Neither does your family, your job, or the government. Only Christ is King.

This reminds me of the hymn “Crown Him with Many Crowns.” These lyrics may be old, but they’re still so true today.

Crown Him with many crowns, the Lamb upon His throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing of Him who died for thee,
And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity.

In every crisis, in every hard thing and every broken piece of this broken world, Christ is King.
