Christ in You

August 30, 2021 Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Love never fails. —1 Corinthians 13:8 NKJV

The love described in 1 Corinthians 13 is a kind of love that none of us have naturally. But if Christ lives in us, then we have access to the source of all true love. And because of the love of Christ in our hearts, there isn’t anyone we can’t love.

It means you can love your husband, even when he’s been hard to live with. You can’t, but Christ in you can. Some of you have a child who pushes all the boundaries for whom no textbook was ever written. You might feel as if you just can’t love that child. The truth is you can’t, but God does and He wants to love that child through you.

You can love that annoying coworker, difficult neighbor, even that relative who says something hurtful every time you see them. You can because according to the Bible, as a child of God there’s a supernatural source of love within you that will help you learn to love those around you. That means there’s hope. Hope as big and as great as the love of God.

Make it Personal

Who in your life right now is difficult to love? Ask God to help you learn to love them like He does.
