Will You Take The Gospel Challenge?

During the school year my mom and I direct the girls' AWANA program at my church. (AWANA is a ministry that partners with local churches to teach kids the Bible). My job is to run the third through sixth grade girls' program. Every week I get to teach the girls lessons on topics similar to the ones you read about on this blog. It's exciting to see these young girls learn about these truths from such a young age. The most exciting part of the girls' program is what we call "The Gospel Challenge." After explaining and reviewing the gospel over and over again, we challenge the girls to actually share what they have learned. If they take up the challenge and share the gospel with someone during the week, they get rewarded with a special Gospel Challenge AWANA bag. Amazingly enough, every year we have multiple girls take the challenge and share the gospel. The stories they come back with are exciting and challenging all at the same time. Sharing the gospel is one of the greatest privileges that we have as Christians. We get to tell people about what Jesus did for them on the cross and how they can spend eternity with Him in heaven forever. What better news is there than that? So what about you? When is the last time that you have shared the gospel? Have you ever shared the gospel? I want to challenge each of you (including myself) to take the Gospel Challenge and share the gospel with one person within the next month. Whether you share the gospel regularly or have never shared it before, this challenge is for you. Not sure what to say? A few verses in the book of Romans called "The Romans Road" are a good place to start. I highly encourage you to look these verses up and read them in this order: Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13, and Romans 5:1. Will you take this challenge with me?
