Read through the Bible, Day 309

Good morning. Mary anoints Jesus’ feet with costly perfume, the crowds shout “Hosanna,” and Jesus washes the disciples’ feet—demonstrating the full extent of His love on the night of His betrayal.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

John 12–13

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Jesus served His disciples knowing one would betray Him and another deny Him. How does His humble love challenge the way you love and serve others today?
Next to the cross itself, Gethsemane is the supreme illustration of Jesus’ surrender while here on this earth.

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
