Good morning. Through the story of Mary and Martha, we are reminded that while service is important, our greatest priority is to sit at the feet of Jesus. In a world that constantly calls us to do more, Jesus invites us to pause, listen to His Word, and be fully present with Him.
Before you begin
Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Review
Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.
Reflect
When you look back on this week, have you taken time to sit in Jesus’ presence? How can you intentionally create space to do that today?
Developing intimacy with the Lord requires a conscious, deliberate choice. It’s a choice to spend time sitting at His feet and listening to His Word, even when there are other good things vying for our attention. It’s a choice to put Him first, above anything and everything else in our busy lives. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1
