Good morning. As Jesus teaches His disciples, He prepares them to live faithfully in a world full of confusion and competing voices. He warns that many will come with persuasive claims, but only God’s Word remains true. Rather than panicking in the face of turmoil or becoming complacent as time passes, we are called to remain spiritually alert and rooted in hope.
Before you begin
Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Review
Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.
Reflect
What practices help you stay grounded in Scripture so that you are not swayed by your feelings or by false messages?
O Lord, protect Your people from being deceived by persuasive voices that are not in accord with Your Word. May we not be caught off guard by the crises that fall upon our world or give in to fear. As we await the sudden return of Christ, may we be alert and watchful. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1
Respond
Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
