Read through the Bible, Day 249

After outlining regulations for worship in the new temple, describing the prince’s responsibilities, and detailing the division of the sacred land among the tribes, the book of Ezekiel concludes with the depiction of a life-giving river flowing from the temple and the naming of the restored city: “The LORD Is There.”

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Ezekiel 46–48

O Lord, You are the spring of living water. The water that flows from Your presence will become a deep river of life, transforming everything it touches. May the life-giving water of Your Spirit flow out to and through Your people, bringing spiritual fullness and fruitfulness to our parched world. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1
