Read through the Bible, Day 239

In Ezekiel 1–20, God calls His people to turn from sin and repent—the only path to life and to hearts renewed in the knowledge and honor of Him.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Ezekiel 18–20

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Are there areas in your life where God is calling you to repent and turn from sin? Take a few moments to pray and confess them before the Lord.

By God’s grace, we do not have to be victims; we can control how we respond to the circumstances He has allowed to come into our lives. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
