Ezekiel witnessed God’s glory departing the temple as judgment fell on those who persisted in sin, yet—praise God—a remnant was marked for mercy. Later, God instructed Ezekiel to act out Jerusalem’s coming exile, exposing the people’s disbelief and false hopes while affirming that His word of judgment and restoration would surely come to pass.
