Read through the Bible, Day 137

In today’s passage, we see Hezekiah’s struggle with pride, Menassah’s eventual humility, and Amon’s guilt before the Lord. Each story reminds us of how deeply leadership—and the condition of the heart—can influence a nation.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

2 Chronicles 32–33

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Why does having a humble heart before the Lord matter? How might humility shape your influence, your decisions, and your walk with God today?

"Things can still go awry, even on the other side of our obedience. But even then, God promises (and never fails to deliver) grace sufficient for every challenge." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
