Today’s passage recounts Solomon’s dedication of the temple and the awe-filled joy of God’s people as they brought the ark of the covenant into the Lord’s holy presence. We’re reminded that when God’s people humble themselves, seek His face, pray, and turn from sin, He hears from heaven, forgives, restores, and brings revival.
Before you begin
Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Take a moment to thank God that when we come before Him in humility, seek His face, and repent, He is faithful to hear us, forgive us, and restore us.
"God faithfully gives His straying children opportunities to repent. However God chooses to get our attention, the best response to Him is an honest one. Honesty is liberating." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1
