Read through the Bible, Day 122

When David brought the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem, the people celebrated with joy and offerings, showing that true worship requires pure hearts and wholehearted participation. He then established regular, ongoing worship, demonstrating that God’s presence is to be honored daily with thanksgiving and in community.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

1 Chronicles 14–16

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

What are some practical ways you can live with your life centered on God’s presence? How might you offer worship and thanksgiving in everyday moments—during meals, conversations, or daily routines?

"The person who praises first, before anything else, right-sizes their perspectives by getting themselves right-sized about the nature and character, the majesty and faithfulness, of God." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
