God Is With You

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: We can all remember times when we felt like God was far away. But over and over in His Word, God promises, “I will be with you.”

This time of year, we sing about our Immanuel—the name that means “God with us.” Let that sink in for a moment: The God who created and sustains the universe is always with you.

If you are a child of God, that means that even in that profane work environment, God is with you. When you browse the Internet, God is with you. When your bills are greater than your income, God is with you. In those midnight feedings of a newborn, God is with you. At the graveside of a loved one, God is with you.

Are you living in the reality of God's nearness? Are you letting His presence transform and encourage your heart?
