Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: Have you ever felt panicked because of a pressing deadline bearing down on you?
Consider this: Jesus was given about three years to accomplish God’s eternal plan of redemption. On top of that, He faced constant criticism from religious leaders, the taunts of fickle crowds, and betrayal from his close friends. So how it is possible that we never see Him becoming anxious, fretful, or harried?
Christ’s peace came from his submissive relationship to His heavenly Father. He knew that waves, wind, and people were under God’s sovereign control. He knew no one could tear Him from His Father’s love.
Do you live in that reality? Or do you wish your troubles and deadlines would go away so you could finally have some peace? Remember, peace is not the absence of problems. Peace is the presence of Christ in the midst of problems.
