It's All About You

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: I remember receiving ads in the mail from two different companies. One was from a stationery supplier and the other from a chain of retail stores. The headline for each was, "It's all about you."

Leslie Basham: This is Seeking Him, with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.

Nancy: The philosophy behind those ad campaigns is almost as old as the human race. In effect, that’s what the serpent said to Eve. “It’s all about you.” It’s a campaign he’s been running ever since.

Think about how often we’re tempted to be self-centered:

• How does this affect me?
• Why did this happen to me?
• It’s my turn.
• He hurt my feelings.
• I need my space.
• He’s not sensitive to my needs.

We’re all tempted to think it’s all about us. But Revelation 4 shows a different way of thinking: “You have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.”
