God Plus

Woman: For a long time, whenever we’d face a crisis I would tell my husband, ‘Let’s just trust God. He’s all we need.’ Then I’d run to my friends and tell them all about our marriage or finances.”

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: It’s easy to say that God is all we need, but in the rough and tumble world, do we really believe it?

Woman: The truth is, I claimed that all I needed was God. But I thought I needed God plus my friends.

Nancy: Do you really believe that God is enough? Or do you feel that you need God plus close friends, plus health, plus a husband, plus a job that pays enough?

Psalm 121 sets us straight. It says, “Where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

What’s the biggest worry facing you right now? Take a minute to ask God for His help and trust in Him alone.
