Getting Away with It

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: “I can sin and get away with it.” That’s one of the lies that Satan tells us about sin. We hear it in a lot of forms. The truth is, sin is dangerous.

Man: We’re being careful. It’s safe.

Nancy: The truth is, we will reap what we sow.

Woman: It’s no big deal.

Nancy: The truth is, every choice we make will have consequences.

Man: I can’t help myself.

Nancy: The truth is, if we play with fire, we will get burned. According to James 1, the truth is,“Sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”

We can’t get away with sin, but we can confess it to a God who loves us and is ready to forgive. That’s the truth.
