Woman: Proverbs 14:1: ‘The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.’ I don’t think I have to worry about that. I don’t have a house, just this tiny, lonely apartment.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth: It doesn’t matter where you live. Spiritually speaking, every woman has some type of “house.” It might be your immediate family, your neighborhood, your workplace, your school, your church. In all these spheres of influence we can bless and build the lives of people around us.
I think John Angell James expressed this well when he wrote, “A community is not likely to be overthrown where a woman fulfills her mission. For by the power of her noble heart over the hearts of others, she will raise it from its ruins.”
Ask God to keep you from tearing down those around you and to help you build them up with your example and your words.
