Chambers of Death

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth:  I'm Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth with Seeking Him. 

I get too many emails that say things like this:

Woman: I find myself hanging out on social medial almost constantly to escape my lonely, empty marriage. I connected with a wonderful man on Facebook; now I'm deciding whether to leave my husband.

Nancy: I was reminded of the foolish woman that we read about in Proverbs 7. She sees a young man and says, “Come, let’s drink deep of love till morning. . . . My husband is not at home.”

Proverbs goes on to say this about that woman: “Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death.”

Don’t let that describe you. There may be some things that you don’t like about your marriage, but take those before the Lord, and let Him satisfy the desires of your heart. God can give you the strength to invest in your marriage and to make it better, as you’re seeking Him.
