A 10-Day, Wonder-Filled Bible Reading Plan

Fast forward a few weeks ahead in your mind and picture the scene with me. Christmas is over. The church services you helped plan have come and gone. The gifts you worked so hard to purchase, wrap, and deliver have been unwrapped and stowed away. The Christmas tree is back in the box. And I’m dying to know just one thing . . .

How’s your heart?

God has asked you to serve as a leader in your home, in your community, and in His Church. He’s asked the same of me. And while I know it’s a deep privilege, I also know that I often find myself suffering from sacred deprivation. We’ve all got a Martha streak, and it’s just so hard to walk the fine line between sacrificing for Jesus and prioritizing Him above all things.

There is no checklist to help us navigate busy seasons of ministry perfectly, but there is a lifeline we can hold on to—the Word of God.

I know you know that. You’re a Bible teacher, a ministry leader, an outspoken advocate of God’s Word. But I also know the gravitational pull of lesser things and how easy it is to lay our Bibles aside in busy seasons when we need God’s Word the most.

The Fringes of His Ways

I’ve been struck in recent weeks by truth found in Job 26:14: “These are but the fringes of his ways; how faint is the word we hear of him!” (CSB).

No matter how much I know of the Lord, it’s just a foretaste. No matter how much I learn His Truth, it’s just a whisper of all that can be known of Him. In other words, when it comes to the Lord, there’s an endless supply of wonder.

As we thought and prayed for you in this season, God gave us a desire to help you get to God’s Word in the midst of the crazy. We’ve created a 10-day Bible reading plan just for you. It’s an invitation to recapture the wonder of Christ because He is indeed wonder-full.

Each day of study can be done in less than twenty minutes (I timed it!). We know each minute counts, but we believe we simply cannot manage all the Lord has given us to do without His presence.

So plug in your Christmas tree lights, brew up a peppermint latte, and grab on to God’s Word. As you do, we’ll be praying that you will come to the end of this season fueled up and filled with amazement, even as you’re tucking your nativity back into its box.
