The Word that Will Never Fade

February 26, 2026 Blair Linne

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” —Matthew 24:35

The world is preaching to us all the time, in rapid ways. God speaks to us through his word. We must be devoted to listening to him more than we listen to the other voices that crowd in on us.

We must familiarize ourselves with the Scriptures so that we can live out what they say. We must study them rightly. We must know this word so that we can overcome error and grow in truth. That way, the word will be on our lips when we give counsel and mentor our children. Speaking God’s word to them is more powerful than any other words we can come up with. The word of God is the truth which helps us understand God’s thoughts and ways. . . .

The more that we are meditating and studying God’s word, the more it will pour out of us when we are around others. We will be leaving nuggets of truth with them which, we pray, will outlive us—truth that they can continue to pass along to those they pour into. 1
