Tell a future generation the praiseworthy acts of the LORD, his might, and the wondrous works he has performed. —Psalm 78:4
Do you want to invest in the next generation? Make sure your life models purity, humility, and devotion to Jesus. You can also serve, love, encourage, and disciple those younger than yourself.
I think of my dear friend Ney Bailey, a single woman more than twenty years my senior. For over four decades, Ney has traveled the world, investing her life in college students and Christian workers. I believe Ney’s greatest impact has been the fruit of her one-on-one involvement in the lives of younger men and women.
Over the years, God has used Ney’s life to challenge and encourage me. At key points in my spiritual journey, she has listened, directed me to the Word, prayed with me, and helped me discern what God is saying.
Ney has been a spiritual mother to countless men and women in my generation and the next. Her life is leaving footprints that lead others to Jesus—and will continue to do so long after she is in His presence.
