Read through the Bible, Day 81

In 1 Samuel 10–12, Saul is anointed and confirmed as Israel’s king after a military victory. Samuel warns the people to follow the Lord faithfully or face judgment, even under a king.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

1 Samuel 10–12

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

1 Samuel 12:24 says, “Above all, fear the LORD and worship him faithfully with all your heart; consider the great things he has done for you.” Take some time today to worship the Lord and consider what He has done for you.
