Read through the Bible, Day 64

Joshua 5–7 depicts Joshua following the commands of the Lord, Achan’s disobedience, and the Lord bringing both victory and judgment.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Joshua 5–7

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

In Joshua 6:22–25, we read the account of Rahab and her family being spared because they believed God. What does this show you about God’s character?

"God had called Joshua to a task that was bigger than Joshua could handle in his own strength. There were many battles ahead, and Joshua would need to overcome fierce enemies in the promised land." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
