Read through the Bible, Day 60

In this passage, Moses lays out the importance of the Lord’s covenant with Israel and reminds the people of God’s faithfulness.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Deuteronomy 29–30

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Deuteronomy 30:20 says, “Love the LORD your God, obey him, and remain faithful to him.” What is one way that you can practically do this today?

"God made a covenant with the Israelites that He would bless them and protect them if they would obey Him and keep His law. God kept His promise, but the Israelites could not—just as we cannot perfectly stick to God’s standards of holiness. So God made a new covenant with us." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
