Read through the Bible, Day 46

Unable to destroy Israel with a curse, Balak and Balaam instead enticed the Israelites to compromise their faith by embracing false gods, blending into Moabite culture, and tolerating evil.

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

Numbers 24–26

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

Are there subtle ways you’re tolerating things that do not honor God? What would it look like to turn from them and honor Him with your choices instead?

"We cannot be servants of God while at the same time bowing and scraping to the demands of some other substance or influence. Jesus Himself said it is impossible to serve two masters. So we have to choose. And how do we choose? By obeying." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
