God established feasts and holy days that provided the opportunity for His people to give thanks for His provision, His protection, and His leading. We can do the same today.
Before you begin
Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.
Read
Review
Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.
Reflect
How can you intentionally set aside time in the normal routines and rhythms of your life to honor the Lord?
"The high priest performed two vital roles. By carrying the sacrificial blood of an animal into the holy of holies where Yahweh’s presence dwelt—the high priest represented the people to God. Then, emerging from that sanctuary, having had the sacrifice accepted, he represented God to the people, offering them divine pardon, peace, and blessing." —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1
Respond
Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
