Read through the Bible, Day 306

Good morning. Today we witness Jesus feeding five thousand, walking on water, declaring Himself the Bread of Life, and promising rivers of living water to all who believe!

Before you begin

Ask the Lord to give you a fresh sense of wonder as you read His Word. Pray for understanding and for an open, humble, obedient heart to receive what He wants to say to you.

Read

John 6–7

Review

Write a sentence or two about what you've just read. This could be a summary of the passage or an observation or highlight that stood out to you.

Reflect

When following Jesus feels costly or confusing, what keeps you from turning away? Thank Him anew that He alone has the words of eternal life.

O Lord, others may find Your teachings hard to accept; many have turned back from following You; but You have captured my heart with Your beauty and grace. You feed my hungry soul; You make the Father known to me; You have given me life. —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth1

Respond

Write a short prayer, based on today’s reading. This could include praise, gratitude, personal confession, agreement with the truth, or a request for yourself or someone else.
